  1. Soak the dal for two to three hours.I have used fresh toor dal seeds instead of soaked toor dal since it’s seasonally available.
  2. After three to four hours grind coarsely the dal also nicely grind the green chilli ginger coriander curry leaves separately.
  3. Now add grated coconut dill leaves the ground masala and dal together.
  4. Mix it well and steam it in an idli plate for 10 min on high and 3 min on low flame
  5. Check with a tooth pick or fork if it comes out clean after poking the dumplings then it’s cooked well
  6. Serve this with ghee,hing oil, majjige Huli or coconut chutney.
