  2. Make ready 2 cups raw rice

  11. Prepare 3 tbsp cashew nuts paste
  12. Prepare 300 ml fresh coconut milk
  13. Prepare 2 tbsp coconut oil
  14. Take 1 tsp mustard seeds
  15. Get 1 pinch asafoetida
  16. Prepare as needed curry leaves
  17. Make ready 1/2 inch ginger finely chopped
  18. Make ready 2 green chillies finely chopped
  19. Take to taste Salt

Instructions to make Appam with Veg Stew:
  1. Wash and soak raw rice for 3-4 hours. Drain.
  2. In mixer jar add soaked rice,boiled rice,1/2 cup of coconut milk. Grind to smooth mixture.
  3. Remove this rice mixture in vessel,add sugar,11/2 cup of coconut milk and salt. Mix well.(Mixture should be pouring consistency)
  4. Add little lukewarm water to yeast. Cover for 10 mins.
  5. Add this dissolved yeast mixture in prepared rice batter.
  6. Keep cover for 3-4 hours for fermentation.
  7. To prepare Veg stew. Blanch chopped french beans, carrot, cauliflower,peas. Keep aside.
  8. In kadhai heat coconut oil, add mustard seeds as they splutter add asafoetida and curry leaves.
  9. Add chopped onion, chopped ginger and green chillies..saute for 2 mins.
  10. Add blanch mix vegetables, cashewnuts paste. Mix well.
  11. Add coconut milk, salt and simmer for few minutes. Ready to serve.
  12. To make appam… Heat appam pan, grease lightly with oil. Pour a laddleful of rice batter into it.
  13. Slowly rotate kadhai in circular motion so that thin layer forms on side and in middle remain thick.
  14. Cover and cook for few minutes on high flame.
  15. Serve Delicious Appam with Vegetables Stew.
