- Prepare For cover
- Get 500 gm semolina (sooji)
- Take 300 gm curd
- Get 200 ml water

- Take 1 tbs oil

- Prepare 500 gm boiled peeled and mashed potatoes
- Make ready 1 tbs oil
- Prepare 1 tsp grated ginger
- Prepare 1 tsp green chilli paste
- Get 6-8 curry leaves
- Make ready 2 tbs finely chopped onions
- Take to taste Salt
- Get 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- Prepare 1 tsp garam masala
- Make ready 1 tbs lemon juice

Steps to make Sooji stuffed Appam:
- Mix all the ingredients given above for cover and keep aside for 10 minutes
- For filling heat oil in small Pan add cumin seeds when it crackles add grated ginger green chilli paste chopped onions curry leaves garam masala turmeric powder salt to taste and saute for 1 minutes now pour this tempering over the boiled and mashed potatoes and mix well now add lemon juice finely chopped fresh coriander leaves now combine well and make small balls from this mixture
- Pre heat Appam pan and grease with oil now pour 1/2 tsp sooji batter in each cavity place potato mixture ball over it now add 1/2 tsp sooji batter and cover the the balls then cover with lid and cook in low flame until the bottom side is golden brown then flip the appam and cook for 1 to 2 minutes
- Now stuffed appams are ready to eat serve hot with tomato sauce.
