The ingredients needed to make Rice Appam:
  1. Make ready 1 bowl rice
  2. Take 1/2 bowl Chana dal, urad dal
  3. Prepare As required Chopped vegetable of your choice ( I have usedonion, tomato, capsicum)
  4. Get As per taste Salt
  5. Prepare As required Oil for tadka
  6. Get 4 to 5 Curry leaves
  7. Make ready 1 spoon Mustard seeds
  8. Make ready 1 spoon Baking powder
Steps to make Rice Appam:
  1. First, wash and soak dal and rice for 2 hours.
  2. Chop all the vegetables finely.
  3. After 2 hours grind the rice and dal in fine paste.
  4. Mix all the ingredients together. Take a tadja pan add 1 spoon oil roast mustard seeds and curry leaves in oil.mix this tadka in batter.
  5. Now heat the appe pan on low flame and spray the oil. Now fill the cavaties with batter. Cook appe 1 side then turn another side. And after cook both side appe is ready to serve.
