The ingredients needed to make Pineapple Pulisherry:
  1. Take Pineapple-1/2 of 1(cut into small pieces)
  2. Take 1/2 of 1 Grated coconut
  3. Take Curd-1cup
  4. Get Cumin seeds-1/4tsp
  5. Get Turmeric powder-1/4tsp
  6. Get Green chilly-2(fine paste)
  7. Get Sugar -1tsp
  8. Get Curry leaves-2 strings
  9. Get Mustard seeds-1tsp
  10. Make ready Dry red chilly-4
  11. Prepare Water-1cup
  12. Get 3 tsp Coconut Oil

Pineapple pulissery is prepared using ripe pineapple and it is served as a side dish with rice during sadhyas. This pulissery is prepared on all special occasions and is integral. Pineapple Pulissery (Pineapple Buttermilk Curry): A famous south Indian vegetarian gravy based on curd / yogurt. It is popular in the southern Indian state of Kerala.

Instructions to make Pineapple Pulisherry:
  1. Cut pineapple into 1/2" pieces. In a kadai add pineapple along with turmeric powder,curry leaves,salt, sugar and water. Cook till the pineapple get soft. If the pineapple is not so ripe then u can increase the amount of sugar. That's up to u.
  2. In a blender grind coconut,cumin seeds and green chilli to a fine paste..Add this paste to the cooked pineapple and add 1/2cup of water..Let it boil well and cook for 5 minutes. When started boiling remove from the fire.
  3. Beat curd with a spoon and make a thick buttermilk and add this to the pineapple gravy once it cools. Now season it with dry red chilly,some cumin seeds,curry leaves and mustard seeds..
  4. So the tasty pineapple pulisherry is ready to serve …Serve with rice. Use coconut oil for authentic dishes like this.
