  1. Make ready 1 cup rice flour
  2. Take 2 cups water
  3. Make ready 3-4 tsp oil
  4. Make ready as per taste Salt
  5. Take 1 tsp punch phoran
  6. Prepare 1 tsp Chana dal
  7. Make ready 1 tsp urad dal
  8. Make ready 1 pinch if asafoetida
  9. Get 12-13 curry leaves
  10. Make ready 1/2 tsp ginger paste
  11. Get 2 green chills,ie chopped
  12. Get 2 dry red chillies
  13. Make ready 1 tsp chopped garlic
  14. Get 2 tsp grated coconut
  15. Get 1 tsp tomato ketchup
  16. Take as required Oil for deep frying
  17. Take 2 tsp achari masala
  18. Take 2-3 tsp chopped coriander leaves

Kozhukkattai (Tamil: கொழுகட்டை) or Kozhukatta (Malayalam: കൊഴുക്കട്ട) is a popular South Indian dumpling made from rice flour, with a filling of grated coconut, jaggery, or chakkavaratti. Kozhukattai, although usually sweet, can sometimes be stuffed with a savory filling. Ammini Kozhukattai is a South Indian style rice flour based dish among Vinayaka Chavithi recipes. Known as Undrallu Guggillu or Undrallu Talimpu in Andhra.

Instructions to make Achari Ammini Kozhukattai:
  1. Heat a wok with 1 tsp of oil and then add half of the punch phoran, Chana dal, curry leaves and chopped chilli in it.
  2. When the mustard seeds crackle then add water along with salt, ginger paste in it and half of the achari masala it. When water starts boiling then slowly add the rice flour and stir it continuously in low flame to make a dough.
  3. Switch off the flame and cover it for 10 minutes.
  4. Grease your hand with oil and knead it to make a smooth dough.
  5. Then make small balls from the dough.
  6. Heat a Kadai with oil and deep fry the rice balls till they become golden in colour. Then keep them aside.
  7. Then prepare the tadka. Heat a pan and put remaining oil, punch phoran,asafoetida, red chilli,chopped green chilli, chopped garlic and curry leaves in it.
  8. When the mustard from the punch phoran crackle then add the fried rice balls along with rest of the achari masala, grated coconut and tomato ketchup in it.
  9. Then add chopped coriander leaves in it.
  10. Mix it well.Now your spicy Achari Ammini Kozhukattai is ready.
  11. Serve hot as your breakfast.

Ammini Kozhukattai is a South Indian style rice flour based dish among Vinayaka Chavithi recipes. Known as Undrallu Guggillu or Undrallu Talimpu in Andhra. Ammini Kozhukattai are ideally rice flour dumplings that are steamed, cooked and later tossed in a tempering for additional flavors. Very little oil is used in its preparation.
