- Prepare 2 tbsp yoghurt
- Take 1 teaspoon crushed Kasuri methi
- Get 1/2 teaspoon Garam masala
- Get 1/4 teaspoon turmeric
- Take 3 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
Steps to make Matar Paneer Masala:
- Heat oil in a pan, add onions, ginger and garlic. Saute over medium heat until onions are golden brown. Add chopped tomatoes and saute until they turn soft
- Add cashews and stir well. Allow to cool completely. Blend to smooth paste
- Heat oil in a pan, add bay leaf, cinnamon and cumin seeds. Saute until aromat
- Add Chilli powder and turmeric, stir well
- Add ground paste and stir fry for 4-5 minutes
- Add remaining spice powders, sugar and salt and mix well for few seconds
- Now add water with beaten yogurt and mix well. There should be no lumps. Bring to boil
- Add peas, cook until they are just tender. Add paneer. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes
- Add kasuri methi and mix. Garnish with coriander leaves. Serve hot
