The ingredients needed to make Chilli Fish:
  1. Make ready 1 pound cod fillet Alaskan
  2. Get 1 cup Onions
  3. Get 2 tablespoons Ginger garlic
  4. Make ready 1 Nos Green chilli
  5. Prepare 1/2 Nos Bell pepper
  6. Take 1/2 Nos Lemon
  7. Take 4 tablespoons Cornflour
  8. Make ready 1 teaspoon Turmeric
  9. Prepare 1 1/2 tablespoons Chilli powder
  10. Get 2 teaspoons Pepper
  11. Make ready 1 teaspoon Fennel powder
  12. Get 1/2 tablespoon soy sauce Dark
  13. Prepare 1/2 tablespoon Tomato tomato sauce puree /
  14. Prepare 1/2 tablespoon Sesame seeds
  15. Prepare 2 strips Curry leaves
  16. Make ready 1 tablespoon Spring onion
  17. Prepare 1 tablespoon Corriander leaves
  18. Make ready 3 Cups Sunflower oil
  19. Prepare to taste Salt
Steps to make Chilli Fish:
  1. Cut fish fillet into bite size pieces.
  2. Prepare the marinade by adding cornflour, turmeric, chilli powder, pepper, fennel powder, chopped ginger-garlic, salt and lemon.
  3. Marinate the fish and refrigerate it for 20 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile cut the onions, green chilli into thin slices, whereas cut bellpeppers into small squares.
  5. After 20 minutes, remove the fish from refrigerator,  heat some oil in a pan and add the fish.
  6. Fry the fish until it turns golden brown.
  7. Remove the fish into a paper towel.
  8. In the same pan,  after frying fish, add some sesame seeds, after it splutters, add chopped ginger-garlic, green chillies, curry leaves, onions, and saute it for 5 minutes on medium flame.
  9. Add the bellpeppers(I used red one, u can use any color of your choice)and saute it for 5 minutes. Then add some chilli powder,  dark soya sauce, and tomato sauce or tomato puree, saute it for a minute.
  10. Finally add the fried fishes into it, garnish it with chopped onion greens and coriander leaves(optional).
